Dr. Vicki Cohn

Dr. Vicki Cohn has built her career at the intersection of dentistry and sleep medicine, earning national recognition for her leadership and contributions to the field. She has served as Chair of the Dental Assembly for the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and is a valued member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Dental Sleep Medicine. In these roles, Dr. Cohn has helped shape the direction of dental sleep medicine — guiding standards of care, influencing policy, and promoting collaboration between dental and medical professionals to improve patient outcomes. Her active involvement in these respected organizations keeps her at the forefront of emerging research, innovation, and best practices in the treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders.

As the Clinical Director of Sleep Apnea Dentists of New England, Dr. Cohn brings both deep expertise and compassionate care to her patients. She trained directly under Dr. B. Gail Demko, one of the foremost pioneers in Dental Sleep Medicine, whose mentorship profoundly shaped her clinical philosophy. Drawing on decades of hands-on experience, Dr. Cohn leads a practice grounded in evidence-based treatment, advanced technology, and a commitment to long-term, sustainable results. Her comprehensive approach emphasizes personalized care — addressing not just the symptoms of sleep apnea, but the root causes — to help patients achieve lasting improvements in their health, quality of sleep, and overall well-being.

Dr Roxanne Bavarian

Dr. Roxanne Bavarian

Dr. Roxanne Bavarian is a Harvard-trained dentist who specializes in oral medicine, orofacial pain, and dental sleep medicine. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Illinois Chicago. She then completed advanced residency training in oral medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she also obtained a second doctorate (DMSc) degree researching oral complications of cancer treatment. She went on to complete a residency in orofacial pain at Massachusetts General Hospitalm where she served as chief resident, and further specialized in dental sleep medicine through a mini-residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Board-certified in Oral Medicine, Orofacial Pain, and Dental Sleep Medicine, Dr. Bavarian cares for patients with complex mouth conditions, including chronic jaw and facial pain and

temporomandibular disorders (TMD), nerve-related pain of the face and mouth, and sleep-related breathing disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea. Her approach combines comprehensive diagnostics, evidence-based treatment, and a compassionate, patient-centered philosophy.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Bavarian is an instructor in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she teaches future dentists and specialists, as well as the Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene. She has

published extensively in the scientific literature, presented at national and international conferences on TMD and chronic facial pain, and developed educational resources to help patients better understand and manage their conditions.
